you say it’s hard to dance with the devil on your back. i say ignore the devil and it will die. i didn’t say it was easy, but the next time a bad thought pops in your head, try to replace it with a good one.

the more you try the easier it will get. sure you’ll have good days and bad days but we all do. people ask me what i like the most about dance. you know, i don’t have any fancy answers.

find something you enjoy doing and do it as much as you can, and then some. when you start dreaming what you love, you’ll know you’re getting there. dance for me is an escape from a harsh world. and don’t let anyone tell you you’re not good enough cause those people aren’t good enough at anything.

the good dancers will admire you for trying. don’t be so hard on your self. if you think you don’t dance well, maybe you’re not practicing eight hours a day. maybe you don’t have eight hours in a day. maybe you need to get off the computer and stop worrying so much.

whatever you do and even if you don’t dance, i will never put you down or laugh at you. you are exceptional. awesome. beautiful. even if you don’t think you are. see. you don’t get to pick beauty about your self cause it’s not good manners to boast.

so pick up your head and smile.:))))))) i love you even if you can’t feel it.

I hate hate hate it when people criticize the Russian’s strict ballet methods. They aren’t too harsh, they produce results. That’s why Russia’s ballerinas are exponentially better than those in the U.S.

My life’s biggest regret is quitting dance when I was only 11. I even resent my mother for not forcing me to stick with it. I miss it more than anything.
